The Accreditation Process

To achieve WSCUC accreditation, Sakyamuni University will undergo a comprehensive review process, which includes:
- Self-Study: A thorough examination of our institution's strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Peer Review: An external review by a team of experts from peer institutions.
- Site Visit: A visit from the peer review team to assess our institution's compliance with WSCUC standards.
- Commission Review: The WSCUC Commission reviews the peer review team's report and makes a decision on accreditation.

WSCUC Standards

The WSCUC accreditation process is guided by four standards:
- Standard 1: Defining Institutional Mission and Acting with Integrity: Our institution defines its mission and establishes educational objectives aligned with that mission.
- Standard 2: Achieving Educational Objectives and Student Success: We achieve our educational objectives through effective teaching, learning, and support services.
- Standard 3: Assuring Resources and Organizational Structures: Our institution has sufficient resources and organizational structures to support our mission and objectives.
- Standard 4: Creating an Institution Committed to Quality Assurance and Improvement: We engage in continuous quality improvement, using evidence-based decision-making to enhance student learning and success.
